In-Home Classes Offered:
Family Dog I (5 Weeks)
An introductory class for dogs
of all ages that are beginning training. You will learn to teach your
dog ©The Third Way foundation games of eye contact, sit maintain,
and walk away. You will also teach your dog leash manners, come when called,
down maintain, beginning retrieving and confinement training. Management
skills and problem solving will also be stressed.
Family Dog II (5 Weeks)
Prerequisite: Family Dog I
As your dog approaches the age
of adolescence, you will learn the skills previously taught in Family
Dog I to proof your dog using duration, distraction, and distance. By
understanding this challenging period, you will learn to be even more
reinforcing to your dog, resulting in a stronger relationship based on
mutual trust and respect. You will also acquire the skills to teach your
dog several easy tricks.
Family Dog III (5 Weeks)
Prerequisite: Family Dog I
and II
This class will prepare you and
your dog for future work as a therapy team. It will focus on the exercises
used in achieving a Canine Good Citizen title, which is a requirement
for dogs and handlers wishing to do therapy work.
Private Consultations
Private behavioral consultations
